Peter Otieno is a Researcher at African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and a PhD fellow in Epidemiology and Public Health at Amsterdam University Medical Center in the Netherlands. He is currently a co-investigator in projects implementing studies on health systems that span observational and intervention research to policy analysis. Peter works very closely with African governments in providing scientific support in implementing national health policies. During his Fellowship, Peter examined how the effects of a demand-side intervention aimed at increasing health insurance enrolment is moderated by supply-side characteristics in Ghana.
