Marwa Ibrahim is a doctoral student in the Department of Public Policy at UNC Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on poverty and human capital, household labor allocation, and social protection programs. Her research methods draw primarily from applied econometrics. She has supported the Transfer Project’s impact evaluations in Ghana and Malawi and conducted microsimulations for a study assessing cash transfer programs as a shock response to Covid-19. Before coming to UNC, Marwa worked with the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC and at the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
