Cash Transfers in Humanitarian Settings

Lebanon reports

Lebanon hosts 1.5 million Syrians who have fled conflict, 76% of whom are living below the poverty line.

In 2016, “Min Ila”, a cash transfer pilot programme for displaced Syrian children in Lebanon, was launched.

The programme was designed to reduce negative coping strategies and barriers to children’s school attendance.

An impact evaluation was carried out to monitor impacts and provide evidence to inform future decisions.
